As a watchmaking student at the Jos A Bulova School I was given a 2526 movement to service-the case at some point must’ve been melted! (This was from the school repair shop, it was abandoned years earlier.). After an enquiry Patek wouldn’t have a new case made (long shot but I had to ask) so I sold the movement with enamel dial for $2,000-1989 I think. I split this with the school instructors!
