Quick Take: Patek Philippe Ref. 514

Here at www.aircooltime.com, you can discover my early 2025 article covering this incredibly rare reference in depth. The 514 is the cool, art deco-style reference that laid the groundwork for later iconic rectangular references to follow from Patek Philippe.
Now we have what appears to be the eighth example known in steel. The rose markers and hands on this example provide a nice contrast to the steel case. It’s shown fitted on a generic stretch rivet bracelet.

I would date the watch to circa 1940, with a margin of ±1–2 years. Given its extreme rarity, examples like this seldom surface.
